Traditionally, Black Friday is all about mass shopping and consumption with of course, the intention of saving money while buying gifts for ourselves and loved ones as we get closer to the holidays.
But instead of little luxuries, there are so many among us whose main concern is the lack of access to and consumption of a basic need: food.
In a city as fortunate as Toronto, 1 in 8 households experience food insecurity. Racialized communities face additional barriers to food access.
We are donating 10% of every order starting today through Cyber Monday to FoodShare Toronto to help make food access happen.
Everyone deserves to have healthy food and it’s important this time of year to remember while treating ourselves to help others as well!
and thank you FoodShare Toronto.
